Happy Monday! It’s crazy that today marks 2 weeks left of our internship! I spent this morning finishing up my blog and reflection from last week. Once I finished that I went upstairs so check in with the squad. Yessica and I met with Amy for our weekly meeting. We didn’t go over a ton of content since we had a big content meeting on Thursday last week. We went through some of the planned captions for posts later this year and showed Amy how to use the document we made. We took a coffee break and checked on the second floor volunteers. I noticed that someone had put flyers for an event they’re having in June in each pod and thought that we should do the same for our events. When we went back to Amy’s office she printed flyers for Look Good Feel Better for us to put up in the pods later. Yessica was able to put them up in the afternoon since she stayed later than me and most of the patients were gone by then. Yessica and I also came up with the idea to set up a shelf on the infusion floor with all of the goodie that people donate to our patients so we don’t have to keep them all in Molly’s office. This will allow patients to more freely grab what they need and help us cycle through donation faster. We had another Growing Together meeting today. The number of families attending keeps going up which is awesome! We talked more about volunteer roles and run of show. This was a fun meeting because I got to introduce the planning team to the naming circle that we do for Kesem. We have multiple Spanish speaking families so we talked about the game plan for their translators/ambassadors and translating all of the event documents for them. After this meeting we got lunch! It was Newks and it was yummy. Amy and Molly had to leave for a meeting. I stayed in the lunch room and worked on scheduling content until I had to leave.
