I was the only one in the building today! Amy was here for about an hour before heading out for a meeting. I checked in the volunteers for both shifts and made sure they knew I was there for them. I did some research for different cancer awareness month posts later in the year. Yessica and I talked about when she was making captions they all became very similar and not really helpful to our audience so she wanted me to take back over working on them. I enjoy doing this research and learning about different types of cancer. One of our musical volunteers came in today to play her harp so I went down to welcome her and make sure she was settled okay. Her skills are just so amazing and the patients love her. I spent some time hanging out with the volunteers in each position. Since I didn’t have the rest of my team to talk to, I enjoyed tackling to the volunteers. I had one of them help me with a task because our Coca Cola representative delivered our order to the wrong place so I asked him to help me move them to the right place since his position was pretty slow. After checking on everyone I did some more computer work. I said goodbye to the morning shift and hello to the afternoon shift. Amy also asked me to look at our Candid account to see what we can improve on. I sent her a few notes that we’ll probably talk about on Monday. I left shortly after this so I rounded on everyone to make sure they were okay before I left them.
