I started this morning blogging about yesterday. Once Yessica and I finished our blogs we started working on condensing the content for the rest of the year into a format that will be easy for Amy to use when posting for the rest of the year. We broke down the document by month and labeled each post with the day it should go live and a description of it’s contents. Below that we linked the graphic(s) and wrote the caption. Our goal for the next few weeks is to finish filling that out for the year. Our team met in Amy’s office to eat cheesecake she made for Easter and work on a new logo for the pickleball tournament they will host in the fall. Yessica and I played around on different platforms of logo creation to make some different options. I’ve never made a logo before and it’s really difficult. Finding a way to include all of the components we want while it still looking sleek is a challenge. We didn’t settle on a new logo yet, we’re still workshopping. After this team meeting we went to a meeting for Growing Together. I’m really excited for this event because it combines 2 organizations that I love so much into 1 event. We talked about event logistics and the best way to guide families through stations. We talked about the outreach social work has done and the outreach I’ve done on the Kesem side. We had show and tell of the items that have been purchased for the event. We have lots of fun stuff to give the kids to make the experience fun, interactive, and memorable. After the big team meeting we stuck around to talk about the specific of volunteers for the event. We’re having staff volunteers who are running the stations, UCBC Cares volunteers as ambassadors with each family, and Kesem volunteers bringing the energy through opening activities. We gameplanned coordinating all volunteers, briefing them on their roles, and helping them bond with Kesem activities. After these meetings we went to Cafe Racer for a team lunch since there wasn’t lunch at the office today. It was great bonding and we were able to debrief the meetings we had before. Today was a great day!
