Today was a crazy busy day! We were getting ready for Strollin on Saturday, Vendor Fair this evening, and Yessica’s birthday today! We started our morning talking about Strollin logistics. I made a map of the full event area so we could plan where each station would go for the best event flow. We also talked through the script and run of show to make sure it was all good. Later in the day we had a meeting with one of our doctors who would be moderating the event just to go over the flow and script. It was chill because we knew she would do a great job. We forgot to decorate for Yessica’s birthday the day before so Amy and I were running around trying to keep her distracted while setting up. Molly got back from errands with her cookie cake and were able to pull it off without a hitch. She had no idea it was happening. Molly’s errands also included picking up a bunch of snacks for the cart so Yessica and I unloaded her car and organized them in the snack cabinet, while setting aside the snacks that needed to be delivered to one of our satellite offices. I made all kinds of documents to be printed for Strollin like vendor table assignments, vendor table check-in, regular check-in, and t-shirt size labels. Lunch today was Jim and Nick’s and it was delicious! I went home for a mid day nap before the vendor fair because Molly told me to. I came back at 4 ready to help! My main job was physician/staff check-in. We host this event in partnership with The Cancer Foundation. Pharmaceutical companies pay to send a rep to talk to our staff about a drug. The doctors circulate and there is food for them to make the event more enjoyable. With our partnership there are certain parameters we must hit to get our percentage of the money so keeping track of all staff that attend it is super important. This event is so important to the foundation and funds a lot of our work. I made small talk with some of the vendors and hung out with the volunteers. The event ended at 6 and we immediately started breaking down and packing up. Since there was a lot of food left over, I was able to take some to my friends.
