Today was mostly spent at the GI building because we had a meeting for Strollin at 8:30. I got there at 8 and blogged about yesterday. In our meeting we discussed confirmed sponsorships and switching gears more towards actually running the event and getting people there since we’ve already surpassed our sponsorship goal. Any more money we get is icing on the cake! We talked about timing for volunteers, photo ops, the set list for the band that’s playing the event, and logistics of walking in the complex. Amy is going to talk with the police about blocking off certain roads to ensure the highest safety of our attendees. During the meeting we also talked about the rest of the social media plan for Strollin. We’re going to move up some posts since we combined some in the past to accommodate how much we had been posting. After this meeting Amy, Yessica, and I worked on scheduling some content for March. I would pull up each graphic and caption we wrote and Amy would say whether she liked it or not and if she didn’t like it what we needed to change. We worked as a group to create the best captions! Our first volunteer spotlight post went out today so I texted the volunteer group chat to make sure they hype up the post and follow us on social media. Once we got all the posts scheduled that we could, Yessica and I headed back to the main building to get lunch! Today we had Mellow Mushroom and sat on the balcony because the weather was nice. After lunch we went to the breast health building to work on organizing the storage unit. I loved this task because I love to clean and organize. I wasn’t able to stay for too long because I had somewhere else to be, but I will finish up anything Yessica didn’t get to tomorrow!
