Today was the last day of my first week! Woohoo! I started my morning blogging and checking my email. One of my main tasks today was spreading the news about our Look Good, Feel Better event taking place on January 26th. Molly helped me print small flyers to hand out to patients as well as larger posters to hang up around the building. I hung up posters in all of the bathrooms on the infusion floor, the women’s and general dressing rooms back in radiology, and the women’s bathroom on the oncology floor. I made a few rounds of the infusion floor talking to female patients and inviting them to the event. I’ll be going around the infusion floor a few more times leading up to the event. While I walked around I met the ladies working the snack cart and took a few photos to use for my Wishlist Wednesday posts. I don’t think I love the pictures I got because I was a little timid to ask the older ladies to do a photo shoot with me, so I will probably retake some photos next week with some of the college students I feel more comfortable posing. I worked on making some social media content surrounding cervical cancer today. I was having some trouble with Canva so I texted one of my friends who is a marketing major to schedule a time where she can teach me a few things so I can make better content. I did some research for the captions of my posts and need to look into the best way to cite a source on social media to show where I’m getting the information. Molly’s mom was in town today so she brought us buffalo chicken salad for lunch that was delicious and we got to sit together and chat. After lunch I headed to the breast health building to take photos of the supplies for Look Good, Feel Better to use in my promotional posts that I’ll work on either this weekend or next week.
